Marc Richard, MD | Hand & Microvascular Surgery

Dr. Marc Richard was born and raised in Rhode Island. He graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology and received his medical degree from the University of Vermont. After completing a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Boston University Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery at Duke University. Dr. Richard's clinical interests include upper extremity fractures, peripheral nerve injuries, and arthritis of the thumb. He is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University where he is active in teaching and research. Dr. Richard is an identical twin and his brother Michael is on faculty as an Oculoplastic Surgeon in the Department of Ophthalmology at Duke University. Dr. Richard and his wife Ali, who is a nurse, are the proud parents of a young son.
